Shawn & Emily Bateman

Argentina

Shawn was saved at the age of 12, and Emily at the age of 16. They met in Bible college, were married, and Shawn began pastoring. After 6 years, he resigned, and the Batemans began their training to be missionaries. During their first term, they were able to begin Victory Baptist Church in Rosario just six months before the Covid pandemic. In 2023, they purchased a property for the church and are now in the process of building their own church building. They have also been involved in establishing a church in another city. The Lord has given Shawn and Emily six children who serve with their parents.

Adam Fridenstine was raised in a Christian home in Ohio and saved at the age of nine. When he was sixteen, he surrendered to be a missionary to a Spanish speaking country and later graduated from Bible college with a degree in missions. Esther was raised in a Pastor’s home in Oregon and was saved at age seven. From a little girl, she believed God wanted her to be a missionary to Spanish speaking people. Adam and Esther met at college and were married after graduation. After deputation and language school, they arrived in El Salvador in August of 2011, where the Lord has used them to raise up a Bible preaching church and minister on a daily basis through a Christian school. The Fridenstines have been blessed with three boys: Joel, Micah, and Isai.

Caleb & Alicia McCollum

Caleb & Alicia McCollum

Germany

Caleb was raised in a Christian home and saved at an early age. He surrendered his life to the Lord, and the Lord called he and his family to the country of Germany. The McCollums have been on the field for the last 8 years preparing to start a brand new church. For 2 years, they worked in Germany alongside missionaries while in language school and then began working at a church with veteran missionaries. They are now heading to the city of Aachen, Germany, to plant a church in this needy country. Caleb and Alicia have five children: Hannah, Adah, Torah, Josiah, and Lydiah.

Mark & Yanina Perez

Uruguay

Mark was saved at an early age and grew up in a missionary family in the country of Uruguay. Yanina was saved as a young girl in the ministry of Mark’s parents. They both served at their local church faithfully as teens and surrendered their lives to Him. After Bible college, they were married in 2017 and have been pastoring a Spanish church in South Carolina for the last six years. While they’ve gained some wonderful ministry experience, God has continued to point them toward the mission field and they are excited to go “home” to Uruguay as missionaries to evangelize and plant churches. God has blessed them with a daughter, Isabella.

Clint Vernoy was saved at the age of six. Soon after, his family moved to the Northeast, and he was called to preach at the age of 10 at Tabernacle Baptist Church in Hudson, New Hampshire. That church is now the Vernoy’s sending church. Rita was saved when she was twelve, and as a teenager, believed the Lord was calling her to the mission field. Clint and Rita married in 1983 and have been on the mission field since 1986, faithfully serving the Lord in Venezuela and now Paraguay. The Vernoy’s have four children: Jackie, Joshua, Jewel, and Jayde.

John & Deanna Williams Family

John & Deanna Williams Family

Church Planters in North Carolina

John and Deanna Williams have been married for 26 years, and the Lord has blessed them with four children: Hannah, Abigail, Nancy Grace, and John Michael. John has served as an associate pastor for the last 27 years. The Lord began speaking to John’s heart about church planting and they have stepped out in faith to a booming area in North Carolina without a church. They have a burden to plant a church that will plant other churches.

Joshua Johns grew up in a Christian home, was saved in 2015 and answered the call to preach in the 10th grade. During his years at Bible college, God called Joshua to church planting, specifically back home in the state of North Carolina. Hannah was saved as a child and surrendered to full-time ministry in 7th grade. Joshua and Hannah were married in July and will be serving as part of the launch team for North Carolina Baptist Church.
